Part six, the last one. The farewell gig of Dave ‘Smithy’ Smith from Bad Sign gets messy as usual, and Strokey G demonstrates how Black Water merch allows him to attract beautiful ladies. Plus a few from The Hop in Wakefield, and The Fenton on a packed out Friday in Leeds.

Part five, the gents admire Selby’s lovely Riverside, while the Yorkshire Rock and Bike Show free bar leaves casualties and carnage in it’s wake. Satan’s Slaves MCC are also a lot nicer than their name sounds too.

Part 4, some goodness from The Ship in the eternally sunny Croydon where T Money perfected his perv window, and a couple from Richmond Live, where Black Water got featured on the first ever festival tshirt. Which of course will be worth billions in 10 years time.

Part three, documenting the awesome Classic Rock Extravaganza with Leaf Hound and Stray down in Sevenoaks.

Part two, and a few from the EP launch, held at The New Roscoe, Leeds. Dancing girls, walls of Marshall’s, cigars and champagne, it’s how Black Water like to play every gig.

Part one of some of our recent photo escapades for you enjoyment; a gig at The Roman Bath in York. It’s not every day that you play above the ancient remains of Legionnaire’s baths after all.

Back in Black…Water!

Hi Guys!

After a couple of weeks of searching far and wide, from every mountain top to every bottomless pit, we are glad to announce that we have found our guy!!

Ladies and Gentlemen… We introduce Mr. Calum Malton!

Found laying facedown on the beaches of Scarborough, a can of special brew in hand; we picked him up, dusted him off and took a donkey ride to discuss our future with the man. After only a week and a half he was ready to play, and had his debut in front of a 400+ strong crowd at Fairfield Halls. For those of you that saw us down in Croydon on Friday, I think you can agree that he did a fantastic job soldiering on, considering the bass drum split during the first song! The support that night was phenomenal :) and we really cant thank you all enough for showing us a good time!

This means that those of you eagerly awaiting the return of Black Water to your local area will be treated soon enough, as we’re getting back on the gigging wagon as fast as you can say T-Money! And you’ll also be glad to know that after a few weeks rehearsal and studio time, we will be coming out with some delicious new material for your audio enjoyment.

Cheers for reading, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all again soon!

Then there were three…

Welcome to the new online home of Black Water! Here we will get the chance to entertain you in a bit more detail about our antics then the old Book of Face allows, as you can observe below with the re-edited video, complete with a delicious gift around the 3.30 mark. If you’re already on Tumblr then please do follow us, and suggest us to any of your friends blessed with the gift of hearing.

It is however with some sad news that we must start this blog entry proper. Jordan -  or J Ball as you may know him - has decided to part ways with Black Water. We are pretty sad to say the least to see him go, but we wish him all the best with his future endeavours.

This unexpected departure meant we have let a few promoters down as there was no time to find a replacement. We apologise to Chris, Jo and Matt from Castleford, Ashington, and Durham respectively. Also, a massive apology to Bad Sign as well, who were trekking up from London to have two nights with us this coming weekend. You can still see Bad Sign this Saturday 19 March at Escobar in Leeds, so get involved.

However, Black Water will continue on! The new songs we currently have bubbling away in the kitchen of groove are far too good to never see the light of day. So we are on the hunt for a new drummer and shall not cease our search until we find just the right chap. Jordan has left some pretty hefty shoes to fill, but if you are up to the task, or know someone who is, then drop us an email to info@blackwateruk.com.

The gig calendar will obviously be scaled back in the meantime, but we already have a fantastic stand in for the gigs still up on Myspace and Facebook.

That’s more than enough from us for now. Thanks for reading, we’ll be back out on stage as soon as we can.
